Moving...
Moving is never fun, but when you have your family there to help pack everything up, it makes it a whole lot easier! Between the help of Kevin's family helping pack and clean everything (thank you soooooo much!) and the movers loading everything up, it was a somewhat painless move!
Our Dallas apartment is on the third floor, so even though the movers were late in delivering everything (we had no furniture for almost 2 weeks), we were thankful that we didn't have to carry it up all those stairs!

Last Trip to Jamestown
Kevin and I have not had a solid internet connection in a while, so posting has been a little difficult as of late.
These pictures are making me feel nostalgic! I miss Williamsburg and little Jamestown and seeing colonial actors around town! Ah, the good old days! Don't get me wrong, we are LOVING Dallas, but Williamsburg will always hold a special place in our hearts :)
Anyway, we were able to squeeze in a trip to Jamestown with Kevin's family when they were visiting us in May (ps - can you believe it is JULY!!).

DC - Day 2
Our last visit to the DC Temple (we are super excited about being just minutes from the Dallas, Temple, although we will miss the beauty of the DC Temple!)

Whirlwind Trip to DC - Day 1
As Mike had never been to DC, we thought it would be uber important to take a quick trip up to our Nation's Capital sans little Miss Kate (something tells me she wouldn't want to hike all around the city and be dragged through museums and monuments all day!) to hit some of the really big sites. In less than 2 days we saw all of the major monuments (WWII, Lincoln, Jefferson, Vietnam, Korean, & Washington), 2 Smithsonians (Air and Space & Natural History), The National Archives, Arlington National Cemetery, and the DC Temple. I think we did pretty good!

We had been touring all day and we noticed these HUGE clouds rolling in. We took this shot literally seconds before a deluge! We were able to seek refuge in the Lincoln Memorial, but were, much to our chagrin, surrounded by busloads of really annoying (and quite loud) middle schoolers shouting the single refrain of "It's raining, it's pouring, the old man is snoring..." over and OVER again. We had to either get out of there or start murdering the children one by one, so we sent the boys to run to our car in the pouring rain and come back for us - they were very quick, I might add!

Colonial Williamsburg with the Grady Clan
No trip to Williamsburg is complete without a visit to Colonial Williamsburg. No matter what time of year, CW (as the locals call it) is one of the most beautiful places to walk, think, and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. The Grady crew loved it!
