Bluebonnets and Babies

The Texas bluebonnets are so amazing this time of year!
I had to dress the kids up and drag them out the other day and even though Colin was throwing fits, the sun was too high, and I failed to get them to both look at the camera at the same time, the beauty of the flowers makes up for it all!

This little girl is five months old!
I just love squeezing her cute little thighs, kissing her chubby neck, and making her giggle and snort! Every morning she greets me with a huge smile, coos, and snuggles into me and makes me love her even more!

I just wish I could capture these two better!
Love my babies!

Conference Cuties!

Pancakes are kind of a staple in our house, but Conference morning, Colin wanted to help Dad whisk them up...with the help of his monkey of course!

Cookies, Cobbler, and Ice Cream...oh my!

My good friend Kaity's little sister got married a few weeks ago and I helped her decorate for the Open House at her place...so much work, but everything turned out really cute!  Thank heavens for pinterest!

I am pretty proud of the Mr. & Mrs. signs I made :)
I was in charge of the cookie bar which was adorable, if I may say so myself!

Kaity whipped up some homemade blueberry, blackberry, and strawberry lemonades - yum!

And then there was the pie and cobbler bar...be still my soul! It was sooooo delish! Lots of our friends volunteered to make them and they truly outdid themselves - I couldn't stop eating all night!
 The happy couple!

The hostess with the mostess!

 A lovely night!

Best Baseball Bash Ever!

Going to kids birthday parties is so much fun! Cake, ice cream, presents, and LOTS of tears! SOOOO many tears! These kids crack me up! Anyway, it was my nephew Dylan's third birthday and as luck would have it, he is just as baseball obsessed as Colin! Karen and Mike threw him the cutest baseball themed birthday party complete with hot dogs, baseball cupcakes, and ice cream in Rangers hats (just like you get at the ball field!).

When the kids arrived, "Coach" Mike called all the kids on the "roster" and then had them run drills like running the bases, catching, hitting, and throwing! The kids each got a ball and bat as a favor and Colin could not be happier!

All the kids had a blast!
Blake was so cute wandering around carrying bats twice his size!
I love how Colin reaches between his legs to get things behind him! Cracks me up!

My little honorary player!

Easter Sunday

The Easter bunny was always very generous when Kevin and I were growing up, but I think this year he really outdid himself.  Or should I say, I really wanted to buy Colin certain things and I needed an excuse?

Either way, it was a great day!

THE LOOT
Each kiddo got a comfy Sunday outfit, some books, and some small toys.
Then the piece de resistance! Colin and Reagan's "Dream Kitchen!" It has lots of button, noises, knobs, doors, drawers, and even "stainless steel" appliances.  I was so excited for Colin to get this! He has been pretending to cook for a while and this just seemed like a great toy, especially for a boy!

Like Kevin says, all the great chefs are men!

While we waited for Colin to wake up, Reagan had fun just rolling around.  She still hasn't figured out how to get back to her back from her tummy so she gets a ton of tummy time!

The Easter Bunny left tracks but they were totally washed away five minutes after this picture when we got a sudden and quick storm!

Colin didn't really know what to think of the tracks...he is still "getting it"
What he did get was the fact that he had a cool new toy in his living room just his size!

It was hard to peel him away to eat breakfast or get ready for church!

Kevin got some new New Balance running shoes from the Bunny
Waiting to go to church
We were lucky enough to grab a quick picture of us at church in our Easter finery!

Easter Hunt One & Two

We had an Easter egg hunt at the park and it was freezing (note Colin's coat and sweater) so we hurried and hunted all the eggs and then headed to the play place at McDonalds to eat our treats!

Colin scarfing down some sixlets!

The day before Easter we drove to Kevin's aunt's farm (aka paradise!!) in Tyler for a day of non stop fun!

We started by feeding carrots to their new donkeys, Smokey and Lilly
Colin played in their play house (I love these kitchen sets because they are the exact same ones I had as a kid!)
Reagan and I hung out in the shade
Kevin's cousin Andrea read Peter Rabbit while the men hid the eggs for the hunt
Waiting for the signal to run!

Finding eggs

After lunch and the hunt, it was time to try out our new shotgun!
Colin found a better way to travel across their 25 acres! It's just too bad he couldn't figure out how to steer!
His favorite part by far, however, was taking rides on the tractor train! He LOVED getting to ride in the Lightning McQueen  car!
Uncle Jim was nice enough to give several rides and Colin could not get enough!

After one of the rides, Uncle Jim let the kids feed the catfish in his pond

The boys played catch
We rode on the teeter totter
Colored eggs

And drove "Guncah Mike" and Kevin's gas powered remote control trucks
We ate and ate, played, relaxed, talked, and everything in between! It was a fantastic  day!!
