Disneyland!

I am a pretty lucky girl!
I grew up in Southern California with Disneyland in my backyard and now when we visit Nana's and Papa's we can take the kids to the Happiest Place on Earth!

Disneyland truly is one of my "happy places!" I still get goosebumps and everything still feels magical. Well, my Dad was able to get some tickets from a client and saved them to surprise us!

I left Reagan with Nana and enjoyed the park with my favorite little guy and my favorite sister, Auntie Stacie!

Colin did amazing!
Compared to his first visit when he was just barely two and Reagan was just three weeks old (she was left on this occasion as well!), this trip was so much fun!

September 2014

It started out like this:

He HATES to smile on command!
I wish the picture could convey how excited he really was!
He loved the tram ride and as soon as he saw the park, he started squealing. And then I did the unspeakable and made him take a picture. Oh well!

We did everything that a little person under 42 inches can do!
Peter Pan, Mr Toads Wild Ride, King Arthur Carousel, Alice in Wonderland, Autopia, Disneyland Railroad, Dumbo, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Gadget's go Coaster, Astro Orbitor, It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Pinocchio, Pirate's of the Caribbean, Winnie the Pooh, Roger Rabbit, Snow White, Splash Mountain, Storybook Land, and Tarzan's Treehouse!

Peter Pan was our first and last ride. He started out timid and scared the first time (what kid likes the dark and loud sounds?) but throughout the day he started really liking the rides and getting brave.  Even when he was scared, he would just say "That was a little scary!" and then I would ask if he liked it and he would say "yes!"

Dumbo

Astro Orbitor

Besides Peter Pan, the carousel was Colin's favorite!

 Autopia
This ride was so awful! The cars broke down and we were stuck in the direct sun forever! Once we finally got going, there was such a back up of cars that we couldn't drive easily without hitting the person in front!  It started out promising, though!

In the evening, Stacie's friends Alex and James met up with us for Splash Mountain!
Colin was so cute on Splash Mountain.  After the first few drops, he wanted off the ride and I had to tell him we had one big drop left.  I promised that I would hold him tight and cover his eyes and then it would over.  He screamed down the hill, but once we went through the last "Zip a dee do dah" part, he was okay.  His favorite part? Seeing the picture and James' silly face!  Worst part? Being wet for the rest of the day!
To make it all better he got to pick out some special candy.  Funny how that cures so many things!

Since it was so hot all day and a weekday, the lines were as short as you will ever see them. So I had the boys watch Colin and Stacie and I snuck onto Indiana Jones really quick!

It was such a fun day! I couldn't have done it without Auntie Stacie!!!

Off to Nana's!

Three weeks at Nana's house! Yay!
We were so lucky to have our own row on the flights! These kids did great as always!

Nana's house was one long spoil-fest! Treats, snacks, movies, TV shows, toys, games, puzzles, and forts!

It was also my birthday!

Kierstin & Luke
We had so much fun with these babies!

Mario Kart with Uncle Marky

Sunday walks around East Lake

The kids had so much fun with all their uncles and aunts and cousins!

Besides Nana, Papa, and Tee-See, Dah-Gee was Reagan's favorite!

We get tuckered out!

Papa loves to spoil his grandkids! Shaved ice is a favorite!

Being so cute with Nana - playing "chapel doors"

These kids love their Auntie Stacie!

The kids already miss Nana's!

Broken Bow + Hansens = So Much Fun!

Ever since we went to Broken Bow last summer, we have been dying to go back! Thankfully the Hansens love it there too! We planned a fun weekend away before Kevin's business trip and my trip home to California. Us gals took the kids up early and part way there we looked back and saw this:

Night time stories!

On Saturday we rented a boat for some awesome tubing and wake boarding! I was feeling like death so I decided to stay home with Reagan, but everyone else had a blast and I got to enjoy their pictures!

While I did this:

We had a fun water fight planned and the daddies surprised the boys!

And s'mores to finish off a great night!

Unfortunately we had to leave the next day and so while we packed and cleaned up the house, the boys played a little baseball!

Such a great weekend!
