ShaveD Ice

Have you ever noticed that all shaved ice places say "Shave Ice"...shouldn't it be shaved ice?  As in, the ice has been shaved?  Maybe I'm wrong, but it drives me nuts.  

Anyway, there is a Hawaiian style shaved ice place near my parent's house and it has become a tradition to go there when Cody is in town...it is a special thing between Papa and Cody and now the rest of us :)

In the midst of hanging out with the Gradys, Kevin got called off to Moscow for two weeks, so I changed my existing flight to head to California in time for Memorial Day.  We pretty much goofed around with the family the entire time!  I love coming home!

Papa bought the boys a "pirate ship" to play on in the backyard.  Cody kept calling Colin his "mate"...so cute!

After spending 3 weeks at Nana's, Colin rightfully earned the nickname "Uh-Oh" from Papa.  We counted and he says it upwards of 50 times a day!

To the Aquarium!

The Dallas Aquarium is the perfect place to take kids...it isn't very big and there are tons of things for them to see.  Plus, it is enclosed and air conditioned, which in Dallas is a must!

Having grandparents around is the best!  They are always helpful with the little ones and know exactly how to keep them engaged in the exhibits!

Cousin Time!

It has been a crazy month!  A few weeks ago, the Grady clan was in town to hang with us and we had a lot of fun hanging out, staying up late talking, eating, eating, and eating!

Calling All Angels

 My loyalties are torn!  I grew up just a few miles from Angel Stadium in Anaheim and have always been an Angels fan.  My dad's company has great season tickets and so as a kid, we got to go pretty regularly.  One of my favorite memories with my dad is him coming home with an Angels T-Shirt, beanie, and gloves for me to wear and letting me know he was taking me to Game 6 of the 2002 World Series.  It was an amazing game and they won the series, making the memory even more fun.

Well, then I moved to moved to Dallas and decided to adopt the local team as my new team...it just makes more sense to root for the Rangers.  It just gets complicated when they play each other...which happens frequently.  So what did I do when I attended the Yankee-Angels game with my family?  I supported the Angels, of course!
