The Big Hole in the Ground

On Monday, January 5th our boring, blank backyard was forever changed and boy, what an exciting day!

January and February Fun

Texas weather is so crazy in the winter! In the span of a few days it can go from 75 degrees to 35 degrees and then back and forth and all around!

These kids are just so sweet and wonderful! I love them to pieces!

With the pool under construction, we spend a lot of time playing in the mess and dreaming about what it will look like when it is finished!

We love Chinese food and the kids love attempting to eat with chopsticks!

This drawing of Colin's cracks me up! He drew it and exclaimed that it was a poisonous snake! I think it looks like something else entirely!

I am sometimes caught off guard with overwhelming gratitude for these kids! My heart just bursts when I look at them (at least when I don't want to spank their naughty little tooshies!)!

Colin once again acted like a weirdo at his class party and didn't want to participate, eat anything, or smile!

So Reagan took his place happily!
We have a Valentine's Day tradition two years running to book the Boardroom (small private room with a round table for 12) at the Capital Grille and have a fabulous dinner with our friends that inevitably leaves my cheeks hurting from laughing and my tummy stuffed with delicious food!

We had soooo much fun this year! I hope we can keep the tradition going because there is nothing better than good food and conversation!

This is another example of absolutely crazy weather! The morning these pictures were taken, it had snowed and we had made snowmen! And here Colin is wearing shorts and riding his scooter! Admittedly, he got soaking wet and was freezing afterwards, but he had so much fun!

I had to wrap him up like a burrito baby to get him warmed up!

Some amazing ladies at my church have started a quilting group to teach those who are interested how to quilt. This is my work in progress!  The empty square will be a star design that I haven't yet completed.

New Years Day

Colin's big present from Santa was a new bike! But, with all the snow in Utah, he didn't get to try it out! So, the first thing we did after we woke up from our trip home was to take it for a spin!

I think he is getting the hang of it!

That night our good friends had a rocking New Years party complete with food, dancing, and karaoke! The Zollingers really know how to party! We had a blast rocking it out (Bon Jovi's Livin on a Prayer) and shaking our thang!

Christmas Sunday Finery

These kids looked so cute the Sunday before Christmas!
We had to take oodles of pictures to capture these cuties!

Reagan is wearing the Christmas dress that my mother made for me when I was a little girl. Isn't that so sweet and nostalgic?! I love it!

Colin is rocking the same sweater he has worn three years in a row - go Colin!

That's one happy family!

Look at these cousins! Aren't they precious?  And oh so much trouble?

Best buddies!

That's right, trouble!
