Fun with Grandma and Grandpa

Perry's Pork Chop
With the in-laws in town, we had to take them to get the world's most amazing pork chop at Perry's Steakhouse!

Cedar Hill
We splashed around with the cousins in Cedar Hill and finished off the fun with some yummy yogurt.

Dallas Museum of Art
It is so fun tootling around town with the grandparents! We have an excuse to hit all the museums and exhibits, or rather, the indoor ones since it is the summer!

Colin and Dylan having a blast in the children's area

Children's Aquarium at Fair Park
At this adorable little aquarium, you get to pet and feed the sting rays (slimy and very friendly!) and discover sharks, alligators, and lots of fun sea life!

Perot Museum of Nature and Science
We hit Dallas' newest and best museum with the whole Grady clan and had a blast discovering dinosaurs, earthquakes, gems, and weather!

Pool Time
We love hanging out at the pool!

Seinfeld
We went to see Jerry Seinfeld perform at the Winspear Opera and in was AMAZING! I am so glad we went even though it was pretty pricey...I laughed the entire time! I was laughing so much my cheeks were hurting like crazy! It was even more fun having Kevin's parents with us. If you ever have the chance to see Jerry perform - DO IT!!

Wigging Out
I love this picture! We put a wig on Reagan and couldn't stop laughing! Such a funny girl!

June Photo Dump

We are so blessed with our kids!

Concert at the Arboretum
I love summer recruiting events!  The 90s cover band was pretty terrible but the evening and the sunset was absolutely amazing!

Bath Time
Naked babies are the best! Both Colin and Reagan love their baths and are too adorable not to photograph :)

Little Sous Chef
I've been making Reagan's baby food and Colin has been such a great little helper! He stands on his stool, plays with the tongs, and sings to himself (ABCs, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Let's Go Fly a Kite, & Old MacDonald are his favorite)

Macaroni Battle 2013
For lunch one day, Colin requested mac n' cheese...so we made a box to share.  He was adorably helping and was so excited for it to be ready. I took pictures because it was one of those cute stay at home mommy moments that you want to remember.

"When you were little, you used to love to help me cook! This is a picture of us making your favorite - macaroni & cheese!"

And then things got ugly.

He wouldn't touch the mac once it was put in front of him.

Had this been easy mac from the microwave I probably wouldn't have made a big deal of it, but I had actually stood at the stove and boiled those darn noodles and I was determined for him to eat it!

So we duked it out.
It took an hour of crying and fussing and convincing and cajoling, but I won!

And do you know what? He ate three large bowls! Victory!

 Mesquite Marlins
I am swimming with a 13 and older club swim team this summer (I am technically on the masters team but swim with the competitive kids in the morning).  I wanted to see if I could still do it and even though it is awfully early (5:30am!!) it is so much fun being in that element again. I am tired, sore, and stinky from the chlorine but it is so great to swim again! It's only been 10 years!
Before the first practice
After that first practice
Convincing myself I am not crazy!
Seeing a pool before the sun comes up is such a familiar sight! It takes me back to so many early morning practices during high school...ah memories!
Colin enjoys pulling up his stool so he can steal Reagan's puffs!
Watching a baseball game with daddy - she's such a daddy's girl!
She still can't crawl forward but scoots backwards and keeps pushing herself in to corners!

Reagan's Room

I am so glad to take this off my to-do list!
Reagan has the most adorable room and I've been meaning to share it with you.

Isn't it adorable?
I just love how it turned out.

My mom painted the walls with the tree (completely free handed off a picture we found online) and the cute picket fence.

Kevin built the window seat storage box

I added the little decals and the other pieces.

My mom also sewed all the beautiful bedding (bumpers, quilt, bed skirt)

Reagan is such a lucky girl!
