While Kevin is watching football, I thought I would take a minute and post - I know, it's been a month and I really have no excuse for neglecting my blog!
In an effort to avoid expensive flights and horrible weather delays, Kevin and I opted to spend Thanksgiving locally this year (or rather last year...) and had a great time at a beach house in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with 5 other couples (
Crawfords,
Harrisons, Moons, Mullins, and the Crawford's good friends the
Tillmans).
The beach house - isn't it beautiful?
What was even more beautiful was the price - off season rocks!

We had a great time hanging out, talking walks on the beach, watching movies, and exploring the area. We especially enjoyed the Wright Museum in Kitty Hawk, just up the road from where we were staying in Salvo.
How 12 seconds can change history!

After hiking up a rather steep hill overlooking the original flight location to reach the Wright Memorial, Kevin and I thought a picture was in order!

Next to a reproduction of the "first flight" airplane
